Coach Brianne (Bri) Gaal
Bri has been coaching triathletes since 2006, from first time athletes, to competitive age groupers, to those who want to finish an Ironman. She has an extensive background in the sport, having done her first triathlon at the age of eight back in 1988. Bri continued doing youth and sprint triathlons until she focused on cross country and track in high school - where she won nine 1A-2A individual State Championships (Florida). While in college, Bri competed on full scholarship at Auburn for one year and then the University of Central Florida in cross country, indoor, and outdoor track for three years. After graduation in 2001, she got back into triathlons and has been going strong since. Bri has been a USAT All-American every year since 2003. Bri is a USA Triathlon and USA Track & Field certified coach. She also coaches the TAC-OSB Masters swim team in Cary, North Carolina. Bri's personal training and coaching philosophies can be summed up with just a few thoughts - Training smart; having fun; learning from experience; mental toughness; proper nutrition; and excellent athlete-coach communication. Bri works to bring out the best in her athletes through positive motivation and feedback, intelligent application of training methods, and constant, ongoing support.
